Colorado Technical University’s Master of Science in Management with an Information Technology and Project Management concentration is designed to help you prepare to manage the current and future challenges within the project management field and the IT industry. Today’s IT project managers fulfill an important business role in integrating and managing a company’s information and technology tools. Employment of computer and information systems managers is projected to grow 15 percent from 2022 to 2032, as companies increasingly expand their operations to digital platforms, predicts the Bureau of Labor Statistics.1 This program is globally accredited by PMI® Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC). In addition to a solid management core, you have the opportunity to choose between two additional computer science or IT courses, which provides an opportunity to round out your technical knowledge in this program.

The Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Information Technology and Project Management (MSM-ITPM) is a 48-credit-hour program offered online and at the Aurora campus. The program includes 28 credit hours devoted to the management core and 20 credit hours for the information technology and project management concentration.
This degree program includes a solid foundation of project management curriculum plus courses in computing platforms and network architecture designs. Software systems, both application and development, will be covered with emphasis on relational database and client/server technology. This program is designed to help graduates prepare to design, build, integrate, and manage the information technology systems and programs associated with today’s organizations.
This program does not lead to additional licensure or certification. As such, CTU has made no determination regarding prerequisites for licensure or certification in any state or jurisdiction.

He has over 28 years of experience as an educator, filling roles in both the teaching and administration areas across a range of academic programs and divisions in the fields of Business, IT and Applied Communications at institutions in four different countries.
Cynthia Solari, DBA
Executive Program DirectorDr. Solari is an Executive Program Director for CTU's College of Business and Management. She has spent over 20 years in higher education, pre-dominantly in an operations role, focusing on organizational change and leadership development strategies within the non-traditional and online sector.

CTU’s Master of Science in Management (MSM) in IT and Project Management Degree Program is designed to provide knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant for pursuing potential opportunities in the workforce. This management degree program emphasizes a solid foundation of project management curriculum plus courses in computing platforms and network architecture designs. Software systems, both application and development, will be covered with emphasis on relational database and client/server technology. This program is designed to help graduates prepare to design, build, integrate, and manage the information technology systems and programs associated with today’s organizations.
As you work to complete your MSM, you will be immersed in courses where you will study these topics and much more: testing, implementing, and maintaining computer systems; techniques used to specify and design systems of software and hardware components; and the principles and practices of network administration.
Courses for the Master of Science in Management in IT and Project Management start online approximately every five weeks. Completion of the CTU admissions process will depend on how quickly you complete the steps in the CTU online application process. You may complete the application process over the phone with an advisor or you may go online. Once you’ve completed the online application, you may hear from an advisor within the following 24 hours to discuss the next steps toward starting your degree program. Master’s programs may have additional entrance requirements that take additional processing time.
The Master of Science in Management in IT and Project Management degree program consists of 48 credits. You may be eligible for transfer credit, which is evaluated on an individual basis. Not all credits are eligible to transfer.
As you study topics in management and IT that are always being evaluated and updated to reflect industry-relevant trends, you will experience a curriculum through classroom learning and hands-on experience that aligns to industry standards and helps you work to develop skills that are applicable to the competitive global business environment.
