Associate of Science in Information Technology
Our associate degree in Information Technology provides the opportunity for students to develop relevant skills in the IT field. The curriculum combines business, hardware technologies and coding, and students have the opportunity to learn how to address a wide range of business challenges with practical Information Technology solutions. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to develop proficiencies in industry-relevant software tools, learn basic network architecture, and structure and study general protocols for data communication. Required classes likely include UNIX Fundamentals, Fundamentals of Database Systems and Fundamentals of Networking, to name a few.
Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
CTU’s bachelor’s degree in IT is designed to help students learn the fundamentals of Information Technology, including the foundations of programming, systems administration, security, architecture, databases and ethics. Also, you can choose from numerous concentrations to focus your degree on a specific subject:

- Network Management
- Software Systems Engineering
Our project-based curriculum is designed to provide students with industry-relevant, first-hand knowledge of the design, development and delivery of quality IT solutions, and you will have the opportunity to create a personal portfolio of IT projects that you can use to demonstrate your skills to potential employers. Examples of courses you could take include Introduction to Website Development, Structured Query Language for Data Management and Introduction to Programming Logic. We also offer a BSBA - Information Technology degree for those looking to explore business fundamentals in addition to IT.
Master of Science in Information Technology
Our master’s in Information Technology (MSIT) degree program offers students the opportunity to prepare to build advanced foundations in the IT environment, including enterprise data management, networking and telecommunications and information systems security. Students in the MSIT program select either a general degree option or choose to concentrate in one of two areas of study: Security Management or Network Management. Courses students can take include Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence Systems & Methods and Enterprise Network Architecture, for example.
