Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

Our bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is designed to help students develop a solid foundation in electronic concepts. Real-world theories and applications are emphasized throughout the curriculum, and coursework typically focuses on topics such as designing, troubleshooting and installing electrical and electronic systems; evaluating and correcting electrical problems; developing methods to use power efficiently; and creating applications for electronic systems to improve performance. Courses you may take include Advanced Circuit Analysis, Signals and Systems and Advanced Electronic Design, to name a few.

Electrical Engineering Continues to Grow

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects the number of electrical and electronics engineers will grow by 2% from 2018 through 2028, particularly in professional, scientific, and technical services firms, as more companies are expected to tap the expertise of engineers for projects involving electronic devices and systems.2

This job growth is represented in the overall employment outlook for Colorado. In 2019, the state ranked first in the nation for its economy, second in employment and seventh for job growth.2
